A Call to Americans

(Originally written 12/31/2006)

Unlike any generation before, the men and women who served in the American War for Independence, the American Civil War, WWI, and WWII rank among those past generations that stood as a united people for Freedom and Liberty. During their struggle for American Independence, virtuous men risk their lives for Freedom and Liberty, and all were majority committed to a common good. These men are the ones who first realized that in order to survive and live as free men, that people must unite under one in one common goal and cause.  They wrote magnificent and patriot essay’s about freedom and liberty, which united a nation, so today I make a call.
The bitter flaws and failings of virtuous men what caused the civil war, which threaten to divide a nation. Claiming to stand for Freedom and Liberty, men of less virtue allowed a people to be enslaved and caused a nations people to pay a terrible price, fortunately enough virtue still existed in men to stand and defend Freedom and Liberty. Today I make a call.
In the world’s first conflict, again caused by failings of men’s lack of virtues, which nearly brought about the worlds destruction, causing again for virtuous men to stand and die. It was their courage and willingness to shed blood at the very gates of Freedom and Liberty yet again, and again due to men’s lack of courage and virtue, evil, though beaten back, regrouped for another attack.
The second was called the war to end all wars. Hear stood a generation held above all other generations called to make the stand at Freedom and Liberty gate.  Men’s lack of virtue caused the genocide of an entire people, and again due to men’s failings, we now face a terror unlike any other before.
Terrorism threatens to destroy Western Christian civilization itself, which if victorious, will have slaughtered all who stood at Liberty and Freedom gate, along with all who fail to have courage to stand between the darkness and the light. I make the call.
I call to the people of this generation around the world to stand. Some will have to stand similar to those in 1776, the civil war, WWI, and WWII each doing his part for freedom and liberty. I call to you have courage. I call to you stand, unite and stand at Liberties and Freedom gate. Stand! Hold in your right had the sword of virtue and the shield of grace in your left. I CALL TO YOU STAND! Stand if not for yourself, then stand for you children and your children’s children and all generations to come. Let light claim its final victory over darkness!
The American Experiment in Democracy has not yet reached a conclusion, however enough time has passed to theorize possible conclusions. Even better so to aid in determining those conclusions (a God given right to every man) as a free citizen of the United States of America I choose now to state mine.
Our American Constitution took over a 150 years to come to birth, since that time it has been hailed as one of the world’s longest living documents. For over the last 200 years only 26 amendments have been added to its pages, slow to change, as the founding fathers intended However they also made certain assumptions, and one the most relevant of all is men of high virtue would be the ones appointed by the people. As a matter of fact, a people’s overall commitment to the common good of the community was essential in forming our constitution over those 150 years prior to the birth of a nation. As a nation of communities the majority believed in order to develop as humans and to reach the highest level of material and moral existence one must live in communities.
During the late 1700’s as well it was feared by certain founders, political factions would form into a coalition and gain control of our national government. Having no clear solution at the time, the fear of majority tyranny was solved by extending the republic (western expansion). They also assumed a virtuous people would always elect virtuous men to lead them in this experiment in democracy. For if this belief was not held by a majority of a virtuous people, then this American experiment in Democracy would not have even been tried. The solution was unclear due to the fact, the framers knew at some point the republic would compound and government tyranny would be born. The founding fathers could not have imagined to what extent political factions could and would evolve. However did they assume, men committed to the common good and strong morale virtue would surely find a solution when the time came to stand? If this is not the question then what is? Consider these two if you would- “To judge or to judge not?” To believe or to believe not?”
Two questions I believe that must be answered not only by me, but answered by everyone, who live and maintain existence, on this planet, called earth.  And to those of you who choose to read my words and before you cry the words, “Separation of Church and State!” I ask you, since when did Jesus and his words qualify as a Church?  Do we not live in a God fearing country?  Do we not as a majority of a people claim to believe in him?
