Political Perception

There will be less the half of the eligible voting population in Americans heading to the elections booths this November to elect our next group of so called elected officials. I say so called because of my understanding and belief that we currently do not, I repeat do not a have a legitimate governing body in this country. Many will disagree with that statement I suspect which is their right to do so and with that being said I also suspect that they have never read “The Second Treatise of Government” by John Locke, which is believed by most scholars to be one of if not the most significant pieces of literature written (1690) concerning political thought in the western hemisphere. How many candidates running for election or reelection this year do you think have read it? Not many I suspect but then again I may be wrong with assertion. The surest way to prove me wrong would be to ask them the following questions the next time you happen to attend one of their political rallies.
Do you believe that if a country has less than have its eligible citizens, participating in government (voting) that you would have a legitimate government? Do you believe that if a government is placing laws on its people that the majority, do not agree then those said people are living under government tyranny? Do you believe that if elected officials are committing such acts should thought as treasonous and the individuals standing up in protest of those acts be consider patriots? Do you disagree that laws passed by our government over the last 70 years in this country are not an attempt to put men under the absolute power of government and has not placed him in a state of war? Do you agree or disagree by placing this type of absolute power over a man places him (limiting his freedom) in slavery?
The chances of any candidate, incumbent or otherwise would answer those questions directly should make every American pause and reflect upon the issues in which those said candidates are saying be the most important to us as Americans. Are the really that important to us or to them? How can you as an American really know when almost every word spoken by them is meant to distract, create doubt, hate, and political discourse between each and every American? This is what they are all doing. If not from direct word of mouth but through their spin doctors (i.e. lobbyist, unions, media, education, and etc.) they keep the majority of Americans blind to the truth. What truth you might ask?  This not for me to say but for you to answer for yourselves, be it after careful consideration and reason, if you have any left after be indoctrinated with all their said new advancements to the American way of life. Advancements that were supposed to make our lives easier by the way but all they have done is make our lives more complicated and have many of us older Americans longing for times long past when life was indeed much simpler and easier.
